Love Saves The Day
Spring is around the corner, and things are heating up for Love Saves The Day (May 28th and 29th) as festival phenomenon Arcadia joins the event for the very first time.
Love Saves The Day has just announced a stellar line-up for Arcadia’s Afterburner stage which includes Chase and Status, Roni Size’s legendary Full Cycle Records featuring DJ Krust and MC Dynamite, Redlight and High Contrast.
The Afterburner is a 360 degree stage built around a flaming spire within a ring of exploding lampposts.
This will be the only UK appearance for Arcadia’s original installation this year. Love Saves The Day organisers Team Love and Zeina LTD collaborated with Arcadia in 2015 for two spectacular sold out shows in Queen Square.
On May 28th Roni Size’s crew – featuring DJ Krust and Dynamite MC - will take over, culminating in a spectacular Full Cycle show to wrap things up on Saturday night.
They’ll be joined by High Contrast, the Welsh mastermind at the forefront of the current drum and bass scene, and prolific producer, Dimension.
Sunday’s Afterburner line-up features a roll call of big names including drum and bass duo Chase & Status; DJ and producer Redlight - who is one of Bristol’s most exciting recent musical exports - and drum and bass legend Goldie celebrating the twentieth anniversary of his ground breaking album, ‘Timeless’.
The Afterburner release comes hot on the heels of Love Saves The Day’s first line-up release in January when headliners including Hot Chip, Dizzee Rascal, Everything Everything, Stormzy, Artful Dodger, Ben Klock and Joy Orbison were announced.
“The Afterburner is going to be an incredible addition to this year’s festival,” said Festival Director, Dave Harvey.
“Arcadia will add to the spectacle of the whole event with a monster line-up and a stage that’s basically on fire! It’s mind blowing when you see it.”
