Three people have been taken to hospital after they were hurt in a serious collision on the M5 northbound in Bristol, which has led to hours of delays.
The collision took place earlier this morning (Thursday 16th May).
Emergency services have been working at the scene of the collision between junction 18 for Avonmouth and 17 for Cribbs Causeway for a number of hours.
A closure remains in place between those junctions - and a number of trapped vehicles have had to be released from the area.
Drivers are being told to travel via the M49 or A4 as diversions routes instead if they can.
