
The USS Harry Truman is leaving The Solent today and you can watch the departure live
A crew of more than 5,000 people, who had been at sea since late August, anchored in on Saturday morning with some saying they would be taking to opportunity to visit London whilst others were more interested in seeing a football game and visiting a genuine English pub.
Gosport Ferry has been giving those who want to a chance to get an up close and personal look at the vessel, named after the 33rd President of the United States, by sailing out into The Solent just outside the Police cordon.

Commissioned in 1998, the USS Harry S Truman carries more than 70 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft on board to the delight of passengers on board the Spirit of Gosport on Tuesday 9 October.

There were plenty of people on board itching to get a picture of some of the aircraft.
More than 70 aircraft are kept on board.
A Police cordon was in place to stop anyone getting too close to the vessel.
Part of the trip into The Solent saw a tour guide listing off facts and stories about the American ship.
