A holiday resort's had to be evacuated on the Isle of Wight after a guest brought back what turned out to be an 'old hand grenade'.
A Royal Navy bomb disposal team was called to the Whitecliff Bay Centre in Bembridge last night (Thursday 22nd August) following the discovery.
The guest had found the item on a beach and thought it was a fossil.
A controlled explosion had to be carried out by bomb disposal experts.
Away Resorts Management, which runs the holiday park, says guests were moved to a safe area while teams worked at the scene.
