A 17 year-old boy has been left with a fractured skull, broken nose and possible broken jaw, after he was attacked while riding his bike with a friend in Portsmouth.
The victim was cycling along Laburnam Grove on Thursday 18th April at around 10.20pm with an adult friend when two men approached them from beside a silver van.
His friend was hit by what's described as a long object but he managed to cycle on and raise help nearby.
The teenager was then pulled off his bike and attacked.
Police say it's believed he was stamped on the head during the assault which caused three fractures to his skull.
The attackers ran off after they were shouted at as people came to help the victim.
Officers say the man who stamped on the victim's head is described as about 5ft 8 inches tall, slim build, aged in his late 20s to early 30s with short brown spiked hair.
The other man is white, about 6ft 1 inches tall, with a stocky build.
Local police say they are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses or anyone who knows anything about the attack to get in touch.
They're also looking to hear from any drivers who passed the scene who may have dashcam footage.
