Nando's Orders Reading Takeaway To Change Its Name

Picture credited to Nando's UK

Nando's has ordered a Reading takeaway to change its name - because it thinks it's tried to copy its name and logo.

Owners of Fernando's on Oxford Road have accused the firm of bullying - and say the name wasn't inspired by the chain.

However, Nando's has told us they think it's trying to benefit from some of the things that make them who they are - and they have tried to sort it out amicably.

A spokesperson said:

“We are really proud of our brand and we know it means a lot to our customers.

“That’s why whenever we think there is trademark infringement we try to sort it out amicably.

“We have asked this restaurant to re-brand because we believe it is trying to benefit from some of things that make us who we are - our menu, logo and even our name”.
