Thatcham Town 'making progress' six months on from FA Vase triumph

Six months on from their FA Vase triumph, Thatcham Town's Manager has told us his side are continuing to make progress.

Danny Robinson's been reflecting on a memorable year for their West Berkshire club, in which they achieved success in the league and at Wembley.

He says the position they're sitting in now is down to the hard work of the staff and players:

"I've been here now three or four years and the club is continuing to move forward.

"Last season was a very very special season for the football club for everyone - the players and the management staff."

The Kingfishers are currently sitting in 13th in the Southern League Division 1 table, following a crucial 3-3 draw against Cinderford Town last weekend.

Danny says a key part of their start to this season was to make sure they coped with the loss of some key players:

"We've had to rebuild in a strong league after a number of players moved on following the FA Vase and league win.

"But I'm so impressed with how we've coped with that."

Thatcham are due to be back in action on Saturday, when they face Blackfield & Langley.
