Whitley Nursery Closed By Inspectors

A nursery school in Whitley's been closed by Ofsted over concerns for welfare.

Parents with children at Bubbles @ St Pauls on Whitley Wood Lane have received letters explaining the situation.
The nursery's owners, Greyfriars Ministries Ltd, has put this statement on its website:
"The welfare of the children we care for is paramount.
"We acted swiftly and are working with Ofsted on an investigation at Bubbles nursery in Whitley.
"In line with Ofsted procedures, the nursery will be closed during the investigation and Ofsted have asked us not to comment on specifics."

Reading Borough Council's given us this statement:
"We are aware Bubbles Nursery, a privately-run nursery in Whitley, has been closed by Ofsted who will be sending letters to parents explaining the situation.
"The Council's sole involvement has been working to find alternative nursery provision for those parents and children who are affected.
"Parents affected by closure who wish to discuss options can call the Council's family information service on 0118 9373777 or go to www.reading.gov.uk/servicesguide to view options."
